Singapore is quickly on its way to becoming a powerful force in technology. With millions upon millions of citizens and a huge economy that is doing nothing but continuing to grow, they are ripe to become a true power house in tech. Now that I’m finally able to leave behind the United States since Mr. President Trump has decided that he wants to steer our country right into oblivion, I’ve gone off and moved to Singapore to work for a mobile app developer in Singapore. I have no regrets about leaving behind this beautiful, amazing country. I’m merely sad that there is not going to be anything left of it if I ever want o return.
Still. I’m happy to be here in Singapore. I’m happy to be able to make the kind of money that I have long thought I deserved and I’m even happier that I’m able to work in an industry that is approaching mobile development with a unique, fresh take. Data is communication. How an application is experience, the environment in which how it’s experience it is as important as the design of itself. It’s a failing of many apps. The organization of the graphical user interface is a sham for many applications that didn’t bother to take a professional approach to them.
That’s why I’m excited to see what we’ll be able to do with data. How we’re going to engage data is on the precipice of a radical change. Virtual reality gaming is already helping with this while some of the first approaches with augmented reality are also changing how we think about data. We’re going to be sculpting data in all new ways. A three dimensional environment is able to convey so much more than a simple, flat 2-d page or application. It’s going to be an amazing journey.
